Thursday, April 18, 2013
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The Holiday Inn
3105 Pine Street
Everett, WA 98201
The WSRC is a group of fifteen governor-appointed volunteers created under Title I, Section 105 of the Rehabilitation Act and by Executive Order 04-04. Our members are systems advocates for the division of vocational rehabilitation (DVR). Our purpose is to increase the likelihood that people with disabilities receive timely, equitable, effective services from DVR that help them to find jobs. We are responsible for seeking input from current or former DVR customers. We are inviting you to join us to share ideas that may improve the process for future DVR customers. You are not required to attend. This is not a regular DVR appointment with your counselor. During this gathering we will take comment for ninety minutes. The last half hour will be for mingling.
Here are some examples of the issue-oriented information we are seeking:
• | What worked well for you in your experience with DVR? |
• | What do you think DVR can do better or differently? |
• | What were some of the ways DVR staff treated you with courtesy and respect? |
• | Did you have a say in picking the kind of job you want? |
• | How did your experience with DVR help you gain skills, training, or other qualifications to go to work? |
• | If you have a job, are you working as much as you want to? and |
• | If you have a job, do you have more money than you had before working with DVR? |
If you would rather submit written comments by e-mail instead of joining us in person, you are welcome to do that by contacting JoAnne at the e-mail listed above.
Public Transportation: The meeting location is serviced by Everett Transit. To plan your trip contact them at (425) 257-7777 from 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or e-mail etmail@ci.everett.wa.us.
The WSRC received approval from the department of social and health services to meet in person at this facility.
