EMERGENCY RULES
DEPARTMENT OF
FISH AND WILDLIFE
[Order 13-146—Filed July 17, 2013, 2:44 p.m., effective July 17, 2013, 2:44 p.m.]
Effective Date of Rule: Immediately upon filing.
Purpose: Amend recreational fishing rules.
Citation of Existing Rules Affected by this Order: Amending WAC 232-28-619.
Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 77.12.047 and 77.04.020.
Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.
Reasons for this Finding: The department of fish and wildlife is in the process of promulgating a permanent rule to increase the daily bag limit for walleye in the lower San Poil River. This emergency rule is needed to allow an increased daily limit of walleye while the permanent rule process is conducted.
