INTERPRETIVE OR POLICY STATEMENT

In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department of social and health services.

Document Title: Public Notice.

Subject: Change to the following medicaid HCBS waivers: Community options program entry system (COPES) and New Freedom (HCS); Basic Plus, Core and Community Protection (DDA).

Effective Date: January 1, 2014.

Document Description: HCS and DDA intend to submit waiver amendments with the federal Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) for the following waivers: COPES waiver (WA.0049), New Freedom waiver (WA.0443), Basic Plus (WA.0409), Core (WA.0410), Community Protection (WA.0411).

These waiver amendments will remove adult comprehensive dental services per legislative directive as this service will be available in the medicaid state plan as of January 1, 2014.
