INTERPRETIVE OR POLICY STATEMENT

In accordance with RCW 34.05.230(12), following is a list of policy and interpretive statements issued by the department of social and health services.

Document Title: Public Notice.

Subject: Change to the community options program entry system (COPES) waiver.

Effective Date: May 1, 2014.

Document Description: Home and community services, a division of aging and long-term support administration, intends to submit a waiver amendment with the federal Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) for the COPES waiver (WA# 0049). The amendment will support access to the COPES waiver services to dual eligible (medicare/medicaid) beneficiaries through an integrated managed care program in Snohomish and King counties called HealthPath Washington (HPW). This will allow beneficiaries choosing to enroll in HPW to receive long-term services and supports (LTSS) via the same managed care program from which they receive medical, mental health and chemical dependency services.
