PREPROPOSAL STATEMENT OF INQUIRY

Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 210-02 WAC, School bond guarantee program.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 39.98.040.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The proposed amendments to the school bond guarantee administrative rules clarify certain aspects of the current program and update other areas. These administrative rules have not been modified since their original adoption in 2000. Several rules were outdated and in need of modernization.

Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.

Process for Developing New Rule: The agency has consulted stakeholders in the development of these rules and will continue to do so.

Interested parties can participate in the decision to adopt the new rule and formulation of the proposed rule before publication.
