WSR 14-11-044 EMERGENCY RULES DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE [Order 14-100—Filed May 15, 2014, 3:06 p.m., effective June 6, 2014, 6:00 p.m.] Effective Date of Rule: June 6, 2014, 6:00 p.m.
Purpose: Amend recreational fishing rules.
Citation of Existing Rules Affected by this Order: Repealing WAC 220-310-18000D; and amending WAC 220-310-180.
Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 77.04.012, 77.04.020, and 77.12.047.
Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.
Reasons for this Finding: This rule change is necessary to ensure a safe and successful event. The fish will be planted one day prior to the annual kid's fishing derby to better acclimate them before the event. On the day of the event, only preregistered kids will be allowed to participate in the derby but Lake Sylvia is open to fishing for everyone. There is insufficient time to adopt permanent rules.
