Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 14-0027 Detox and Residential Treatment Rates.

Effective Date: June 5, 2014.

Description: Washington is submitting medicaid SPA 14-0027 in order to protect access to fee-for-service chemical dependency detoxification and adult residential treatment services. The state has determined that the rates for chemical dependency detoxification and residential services are inadequate to maintain the capacity necessary to provide these critical services. Without this change, the state anticipates that the number of providers will materially decrease and that medicaid clients will not have adequate access to detoxification and residential treatment services. The new rates are to be published with an effective date of June 5, 2014.
