Publication in the Washington State Register pursuant to RCW 34.05.314
July - December 2014
The forest practices board's (FPB) mandate is to adopt rules to protect the state's public resources while maintaining a viable forest products industry. The following rule proposals are under development or are anticipated during this time period. There may be additional rule-making activity not on the agenda as conditions warrant.
1. WAC 222-16-080 Critical habitats (state) of threatened and endangered species. Rule making has been put on hold.
2. Road Maintenance. Rule making has been put on hold until 2015.
3. Unstable Slopes Information on Forest Practices Applications. The board will consider initiating rule making at their November meeting to clarify rules that additional geologic information conforms to appropriate technological and professional standards needed to help the department of natural resources (DNR) assess threats to public safety and appropriately classify forest practices applications.
