Effective Date of Rule: Thirty-one days after filing.

Purpose: WAC 246-841-535, the definition of nationally certified medical assistant used to determine who may take the medical assistant to nursing assistant bridge program was more restrictive in the nursing commission rule than the department of health's definition used to determine who may become a state credentialed medical assistant-certified. The commission amended its definition of medical assistant to better align with the department's definition.
