Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 15-0041 Agency Organization.

Effective Date: October 1, 2015.

Description: The Washington state health care authority (the agency) is designated as the single state medicaid agency for the administration of funds from Title XIX of the Social Security [Act] and has final authority over medicaid programs. As such, the agency's organization and administration is described in the medicaid state plan. The agency intends to submit medicaid SPA 15-0041 to update that information to reflect recent organizational changes that became necessary to ensure staff, infrastructure, and data are set up to support the agency's move away from a fee-for-service model of purchasing to a managed care delivery structure.

SPA 15-0041 is anticipated to have no effect on annual aggregate expenditures.
