Washington's Underground Storage Tank (UST) Program: Tank Fee Increase in 2017.

Washington's UST fees will increase on July 1, 2017, from $160 to $166.99 per tank. This fee increase will offset escalating program costs and a decrease in federal funding assistance.

The fiscal growth factor was used to determine the amount of fee increase. The fiscal growth factor is approved by the Washington state expenditure limit committee. The factor is calculated using the average growth in state personal income for the previous ten fiscal years.
