Purpose of the Proposal and Its Anticipated Effects, Including Any Changes in Existing Rules: ORCAA is proposing to change the annual ending date for the summer burn restriction season in Thurston County from October 15 to September 30 of each year. Changing the ending date will create an additional two week period for burning in the early fall and simplify the message to the public by aligning the ending date with other counties in the ORCAA jurisdiction.
Statutory Authority for Adoption: Chapter 70.94 RCW.

Rule is not necessitated by federal law, federal or state court decision.

No residential or land clearing burning is allowed in Thurston County from July 15th through ((October 15th)) September 30th.
