WSR 16-16-058 EMERGENCY RULES DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE [Order 16-192—Filed July 27, 2016, 11:59 a.m., effective July 31, 2016, 9:30 p.m.] Effective Date of Rule: July 31, 2016, 9:30 p.m.
Purpose: Amend recreational fishing rules in Icicle River.
Citation of Existing Rules Affected by this Order: Repealing WAC 220-310-19500H.
Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.
Reasons for this Finding: This emergency rule is needed to close the Icicle River which was opened by filing WSR 16-11-039. The spring Chinook run to the Icicle River has completed its return to the tributary. These fish will begin to spawn soon and will be largely undesirable as a food fish. There is insufficient time to adopt permanent rules.
