Minimum Wage Rate

As per RCW 49.46.020, the department of labor and industries has calculated the adjusted minimum wage rate for 2017 to be $9.53 per hour, effective January 1, 2017. This is a six cent per hour increase from 2016. The rate for minor workers under sixteen, pursuant to WAC 296-126-020 (eighty-five percent of the hourly rate required by RCW 49.46.020), will be $8.10 per hour starting January 1, 2017.
