PREPROPOSAL STATEMENT OF INQUIRY

Subject of Possible Rule Making: Amending WAC 458-19-050 Port district levies, and adding WAC 458-19-05001 Port district levies for industrial development district purposes.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 84.08.010, 84.08.070, 84.48.080, 84.55,060 [84.55.060], 84.52.0502, 34.05.230 and chapters 84.52 and 84.55 RCW.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The department is proposing to amend WAC 458-19-050 and add new WAC 458-19-05001, to explain SHB 1337, chapter 135, Laws of 2015, on industrial development district levies under RCW 53.36.100 and 53.36.160.
