INTERPRETIVE AND POLICY STATEMENT

Under RCW 34.05.230, following is one policy and interpretive statement issued by the department of labor and industries fraud prevention and labor standards division.

Title: ES.C.6.1 - Meal and rest periods for nonagricultural workers age 18 and over.

Date Issued: December 1, 2017.

Description: This policy provides interpretive guidance on WAC 296-126-092, the department's meal and rest break rule. The amendment renumbers the policy, as it is now part of a series after creating ES.C.6.2 in 2016. Clarifying changes were made to the answer for Question # 12 on intermittent rest breaks.
