Purpose: Amends recreational freshwater fishing rules. Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest. Reasons for this Finding: These emergency rules are needed to amend recently filed permanent rules (WSR 18-06-045) which were filed on March 1, 2018, by the department and inadvertently took effect April 1, 2018. The effective date needed to be July 1, 2018, to remain consistent with the Washington Sport Fishing Rules Pamphlet.
