Effective Date of Rule: Immediately upon filing.
Purpose: Amends Puget Sound closed areas for commercial salmon.
Citation of Rules Affected by this Order: Amending WAC 220-354-080.
Under RCW
34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.
Reasons for this Finding: This rule is necessary to implement the closure area as agreed to with the comanagers during the North of Falcon process. There is insufficient time to adopt permanent rules.

WAC 220-354-08000BPuget Sound salmon—Closed areas.
Notwithstanding the provisions of WAC 220-354-080, effective immediately until further notice, it is unlawful to take, fish for, or possess salmon taken for commercial purposes with any type of gear from the following portions of Puget Sound Salmon Management and Catch Reporting Area 12.
Area 12 Exclusions:
Those waters of Area 12 south and west of a line projected 94 degrees true from Hazel Point to the light on the opposite shore, bounded on the west by the Area 12/12B boundary line.
