PREPROPOSAL STATEMENT OF INQUIRY

Subject of Possible Rule Making: The new property tax exemption described in RCW 84.36.670 for property used for the operation of a multipurpose senior citizen center. A copy of the proposed draft rule will be provided at the public meeting.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 84.36.865.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The department is considering a new rule that will explain the requirements of the property tax exemption described in RCW 84.36.670. This exemption is for real and personal property owned by a senior citizen organization that is used for the operation of a multipurpose senior citizen center.
Process for Developing New Rule: Parties interested in this rule making may contact the individual listed below. The public may also participate by providing written comments throughout this rule making or giving oral testimony at the public meeting or public hearing.
