Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 139-08 WAC, 2019 Omnibus training requirement.

36.28A.445, requires the commission to establish by rule: Violence de-escalation training, mental health and first-aid training for law enforcement officers, adopt training hour requirements and curriculum including continuing training, establish means by which law enforcement officers will receive this training and guidelines for first-aid training requirements in compliance with chapter 1, Laws of 2019, training requirements.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: The Washington state criminal justice training commission (WSCJTC) regulates this process.
