Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Changes are necessary for the new system upgrade and anticipated updates to chapter 18.08 RCW. Updates to application language will clarify various application requirements to ensure applicants are qualified to be licensed and remove the current linear process. New language will be added to align all signature requirements, including electronic, with those of other design programs regulated by the regulatory boards section.
