Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 196-20 WAC, Engineers-in-training.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 18.43.035.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: To better define the requirements needed to take the fundamentals-of-engineering exam as well as clarify language that is no longer effective or needs to be rewritten.

Process for Developing New Rule: Direct notice will be made to stakeholders and all active licensees and will be posted on our web site and distributed through the BORPELS board and board staff. Interested parties may contact the individual listed below and the public may also participate by commenting after amendments are proposed by providing written comments or giving oral testimony during the public hearing process.
