Title of Rule and Other Identifying Information: Chapter 392-196 WAC, School personnel—Teacher assistance program.

Purpose of the Proposal and Its Anticipated Effects, Including Any Changes in Existing Rules: The purpose of this expedited rule is to repeal chapter 392-196 WAC, School personnel—Teacher assistance program.

Reasons Supporting Proposal: The teacher assistance program was authorized under RCW 28A.415.250, which directed the office of superintendent of public instruction (OSPI) to adopt rules to establish and operate the program. RCW 28A.415.250 was repealed in 2013, see 2013 2nd sp.s. ch. 18 § 601(3), and has not been replaced by another statute providing statutory authority for the rule.

Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 28A.415.250.

Rule is not necessitated by federal law, federal or state court decision.
