Subject of Possible Rule Making: WAC 468-38-073 Measurement exclusive devices.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 46.44.090.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Measurement exclusive devices at the rear of a vehicle for the purposes of loading and unloading grant an additional two feet beyond legal length. This rule needs clarification to not limit the exclusion to loading and unloading devices of two feet or less. This change clarifies the intent of the existing rule.

Process for Developing New Rule: Negotiated rule making.
