Semi-Annual Rule-Making Agenda for
Publication in the Washington State Register
January – June 2020
The forest practices board's (FPB) mandate is to adopt rules to protect the state's public resources while maintaining a viable forest products industry. The following rule proposals are under development or are anticipated during this time period. There may be additional rule-making activity not on the agenda as conditions warrant.
1. Water typing system. The board has been engaged in rule development to establish a permanent water typing system. The board has established a committee to work with stakeholders and gather the data needed for the rule making.
2. Northern Spotted Owl clarification and other minor rule clarifications. The board may consider rule making to correct a typographical error within WAC 222-16-080 and make additional minor corrections to several chapters.
