Subject of Possible Rule Making: Assignment policy and special education preendorsement waivers.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: Chapter 28A.410 RCW.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Some educator preparation programs issue credits. Some educator preparation programs issue clock hours. The professional educator standards board is considering policy change allowing for both these units in special education preendorsement waivers.

Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: Not applicable.

Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study.
