Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 478-121 WAC, Student conduct code for the University of Washington.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28B.20.130.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The University of Washington currently has an emergency rule in place that allowed us to be in compliance with the new United States Department of Education Title IX regulations by their deadline date of August 14, 2020. The university is now developing permanent rules in order to maintain compliance.

Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.

Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study.
