Title of Rule and Other Identifying Information: The department is proposing to amend chapter 388-826 WAC, Voluntary placement program.
Hearing Location(s): On June 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at Office Building 2, Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Headquarters, 1115 Washington Street S.E., Olympia, WA 98501. Purpose of the Proposal and Its Anticipated Effects, Including Any Changes in Existing Rules: The proposed amendments align with recent amendments to chapter
74.13 RCW, and align with new chapter
71A.28 RCW, Out-of-home services.
Reasons Supporting Proposal: These amendments are necessary to update the program from the voluntary placement services model to the way the program will now operate under chapter
71A.28 RCW, Out-of-home services.
Rule is not necessitated by federal law, federal or state court decision.

This rule proposal, or portions of the proposal, is exempt from requirements of the Regulatory Fairness Act because the proposal:
