Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 308-14 WAC, Court reporters.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: Chapters 18.145; and 43.24 RCW.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Amends language regarding exams to expand options for court reporters and recognized persons who administer the exam, as well as updates rules to complement new system efficiencies.

Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: Not applicable.

Process for Developing New Rule: Parties interested in the formulation of these rules for proposal may contact the program listed below. The public may also participate by commenting after amendments are proposed by providing written comments or giving oral testimony during the public hearing process.
