REPEAL OF POLICY STATEMENT
CI-20-0001 – Delay in Requirement for DEA Laboratory Registration for Conducting Testing of Hemp
The Washington state department of agriculture repeals Policy Statement Number CI-20-0001. Notification of the policy statement was filed with the office of the code reviser on April 3, 2020 (WSR 20-09-015). It delayed enforcement of the requirement to use laboratories registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for testing hemp, specified in WAC 16-306-090 and in conjunction with the United States Department of Agriculture's allowance for enforcement discretion on this topic until October 31, 2021.
On September 21, 2021, the department signed Policy Statement CI-21-0002 extending the time allowed for laboratories to obtain DEA registration until December 31, 2022, superseding this policy statement. Therefore, this policy statement is no longer necessary and should be repealed.
Date Approved: September 28, 2021.
