Minimum Wage Calculations for 2022

As per RCW 49.46.020, the department of labor and industries (L&I) must calculate Washington state's minimum wage based on the consumer price index for urban wage earners and clerical workers index.

L&I has calculated the adjusted minimum wage rate for 2022 to $14.49 per hour, effective January 1, 2022. This is an 80-cent per hour increase from 2021.
