WITHDRAWAL OF PROPOSED RULES

This memo serves as notice that the Washington department of health (department) is withdrawing the CR-102 for chapter 246-453 WAC, Hospital charity care. The department was proposing revisions to this chapter to implement SHB 6273 (chapter 263, Laws of 2018) by updating definitions, delineating charity care, and revising notice requirements without restricting charity care. The CR-102 was filed December 27, 2021, and published in WSR 22-02-016.

Since the CR-102 was filed in 2021, additional information has come to the department's attention regarding potential legislation that may impact these same rule sections. As such, the department has decided to withdraw the CR-102 and revisit the proposed changes at a later date.
