NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF INTERPRETIVE STATEMENT

Title of Interpretive Statement: Physician Assistants' Use of DEA Waiver for Buprenorphine. INS2022-01.

Issuing Entity: Washington medical commission.

Subject Matter: Physician assistants may treat opioid addiction with buprenorphine while under a waiver from the DEA even when the supervising physician does not have a waiver.

Effective Date: July 15, 2022.
