NOTICE

Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 23-0028 Update Terminology from Chemically-Dependent Pregnant Women to Substance Using Pregnant People.

Effective Date: July 1, 2023.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit medicaid SPA 23-0028 in order to update the language "Chemically-Dependent Pregnant Women" to "Substance Using Pregnant People" for consistency with current program terms.

SPA 23-0028 is an administrative action and is expected to have no impact on the annual aggregate expenditures/reimbursement/payment for the services offered under this program.

A copy of draft SPA 23-0028 is available for review. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA.
