Rule making to implement a new low-income home rehabilitation grant program in chapter 43.330 RCW to award funding from the low-income home rehabilitation account created in RCW 43.330.488.

Currently, commerce is reviewing the requirements in HB [SHB] 1250 and planning for a prolonged stakeholder engagement period to satisfy the environmental justice assessment requirements in the HEAL ACT.

This includes changes in how local government plans for affordable housing, increases in residential density, accessory dwelling units, tiny housing, design review, local project review, urban growth area swaps, and infill development in limited areas of more intensive rural development.
