Currently, commerce is working with Filmworks to conduct industry research and stakeholder engagement.

Rule making to implement SB [SSB] 5722 (2022) which expands the Clean Buildings Act and requires commerce to develop a building performance standard for a new tier of buildings.

Chapter 43.330 RCW;

Rule making to implement a new low-income home rehabilitation grant program in chapter 43.330 RCW to award funding from the low-income home rehabilitation account created in RCW 43.330.488.
Currently, commerce is reviewing the requirements in HB [SHB] 1250 and planning for a prolonged stakeholder engagement period to satisfy the environmental justice assessment requirements in the HEAL ACT.

To incorporate recently enacted legislation for housing, urban growth areas, and the rural element in chapter 365-196 WAC. This includes changes in how local government plans for affordable housing, increases in residential density, accessory dwelling units, tiny housing, design review, local project review, urban growth area swaps, and infill development in limited areas of more intensive rural development.
