Pursuant to RCW 34.05.230, the department of labor and industries' fraud prevention and labor standards division issued the following policy statement.

Policy: Employment Standards Policy ES.A.12.2.

Title: Tip, Gratuity, and Service Charge Examples.

Effective Date: August 9, 2023.

Description: The policy was created in order to provide examples of scenarios relating to tips, gratuities, and service charges to answer employee questions and to help employers comply with the requirements of the Minimum Wage Act (chapter 49.46 RCW).
