Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The health care authority (HCA) is adding mental health counselor associates, social worker associates, and marriage and family therapist associates as provider types eligible to provide covered health care services to eligible clients. During the course of this review, HCA may identify additional related changes that are required in order to improve clarity or update policy.
