Subject of Possible Rule Making: Higher education retirement plan supplemental benefit fund.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 41.50.050 and 41.50.280.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Making necessary WAC revisions to specify the process that will occur when the pension funding council, in consultation with the state actuary, determines that the higher education retirement plan supplemental benefit funds contain sufficient funding to allow benefit payments.

Process for Developing New Rule: Agency study.
