Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 24-0027 Optometrist Rate Description Update.

Effective Date: April 15, 2024.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit SPA 24-0027 to update the link to the state contract for eyeglasses and contact lenses provided to medicaid beneficiaries, and remove the unnecessary reference to chapter 182-531 WAC.

SPA 24-0027 is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/payments. These are "housekeeping" changes and do not reflect changes to policy or payment.

A copy of the draft SPA is available upon request. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA. To request a copy of the SPA or submit comments, you may contact the person named below (please note that all comments are subject to public review and disclosure, as are the names of those who comment). Please submit comments by May 10, 2024.
