Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 24-0036 Rate Methodology Updates.

Effective Date: July 1, 2024.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit SPA 24-0036 to add standard language regarding legislatively approved rate increases and, where necessary, update language to clarify current practices, update the link for Washington's medicaid state plan, and make other clarifications.

These changes are for clarification purposes only; the payment methodologies are not changing.

SPA 24-0036 is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/payments for the services mentioned on these pages.

SPA 24-0036 is under development. To request a copy of the draft SPA when it becomes available or return comments, please contact the person named below. Please return comments by June 10, 2024. Please note that all comments are subject to public review and disclosure, as are the names of those who comment.
