Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 24-0037 Mental/Behavioral Health Rate Methodology Update.

Effective Date: July 1, 2024.

Description: The health care authority intends to submit SPA 24-0037 to clarify the payment methodology described in the medicaid state plan for mental/behavioral services. The SPA will add standard language regarding legislatively approved rate increases and update language around how rates are determined. These changes are for clarification purposes only; payment methodology for these services will not change.

SPA 24-0037 is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/payments for the services mentioned on these pages.
