NOTICE
Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 24-0040 Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Rates.
Effective Date: July 1, 2024.
Description: The health care authority (HCA) and the aging and long-term support administration (ALTSA) of the department of social and health services (DSHS) intend to submit SPA 24-0040 in order to amend the nursing facility medicaid methodology. SPA 24-0040 is expected to:
Increase the adult family home daily rates by a weighted average of $3.76 to a projected total weighted average of $166.87, an increase of two percent;
Increase the assisted living facility daily rates by a weighted average of $12.68 to a projected total weighted average of $146.54, an increase of nine percent;
Increase the adult day health daily rate by a weighted average of $18.64 to a projected total weighted average of $111.87, an increase of 20 percent;
Increase the agency provider hourly rate by $1.92 to $41.16, an increase of five percent; and
Increase the consumer directed employer (CDE, formerly called individual provider) hourly rate by $1.88 to $35.96, an increase of six percent.
SPA 24-0040 is in development. HCA and DSHS would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA. To request a copy when it becomes available or submit comments, please contact the person named below.
Interested parties may submit comments and concerns about the rates or the effects the changes may have on beneficiary access to care or continued service access.
