NOTICE
Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 24-0043 Miscellaneous Disproportionate Share Hospital Rate Updates.
Effective Date: July 16, 2024.
Description: Washington is submitting SPA 24-0043 to make the following changes:

| • | Remove the word "eligible" from "Medicaid eligible individuals" to clarify those references are to medicaid clients. |
| • | Remove the outdated information about small rural indigent assistance disproportionate share hospital payments. This program has not been legislatively funded since 2012. |
| • | Remove specific dollar amounts and time periods from the low income disproportionate share hospital payment section and replace it with generic payment information to allow the state to be more agile when funding changes. |
SPA 24-0043 is expected to have no effect on aggregate expenditures/reimbursement/payment for these hospitals.
