Semi-Annual Rules Development Agenda
for July to December 2024 (as of July 24, 2024)
In accordance with RCW 34.05.314, the Washington state department of transportation's (WSDOT) current and anticipated rules under development are as follows:
A new rule to implement RCW 39.33.015 regarding the transfer, lease, and disposal of public property for affordable housing. WSR 24-14-138 shows the preproposal statement of inquiry and contact information.
A new rule to implement RCW 46.63.200 regarding speed safety camera systems in work zones. WSR 23-20-130 shows the preproposal statement of inquiry and contact information.
A change to WAC 468-12-800 ("Categorical exemptions" for State Environmental Policy Act rules) to update a reference to a subsection of WAC 197-11-800.
Changes to chapter 468-17 WAC (Small and veteran-owned business enforceable goals program). WSR 24-13-121 shows the proposed rule change and contact information.
Changes to WAC 468-58-030 to revise the wording about school bus loading zones on partially controlled limited access highways. These changes will align the wording with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The proposed rule changes and contact information have been filed as WSR 24-15-153, which will be published in the Washington State Register on August 7, 2024.
Changes to chapter 468-310 WAC regarding prequalification of ferry system contractors.
