Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit SPA 24-0045 in order to correct inaccurate tier levels in the "Methods & Standards for Establishing Payment Rates" section of the 1915(i) home and community-based services section of the medicaid state plan that were approved in SPA 24-0001. SPA 24-0045 will remove nonprimary diagnoses from the eligibility list. Child-specific diagnoses will also be removed, as children do not meet the age requirement for community behavioral health support eligibility for this 1915(i) service.

SPA 24-0045 is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/reimbursement/payment for community behavioral health support services.

SPA 24-0045 is in the development process; therefore, a copy is not yet available for review. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA.
