NOTICE

Subject: Medicaid Transformation Project (MTP) Case Management Rate Methodology Under the Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) Program.

Effective Date: July 1, 2024.

The health care authority (HCA) submitted a rate methodology for case management under MTP 2.0.1 These services are case management, outreach, and educational services that aim to provide connections to other state and federal benefit programs, benefit program application assistance, and benefit program application fees.

1	MTP is Washington state's Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver. MTP 2.0 is the renewal for MTP, which allows the state to continue MTP for an additional five years. MTP 2.0 began on July 1, 2023.

Case management rates are expected to increase the annual aggregate expenditures by $65 million under MTP 2.0. Nine community hubs and one native hub will receive funding from HCA to perform these services.

The case management fee schedule is available for review on the HCA website at hca.wa.gov/assets/program/community-hubs-pmpm-rate-fee.pdf. HCA welcomes interested parties to submit comments and concerns about the rate methodology and/or the effects no later than Thursday, September 5, 2024. Note: All comments are subject to public review and disclosure, including the names of those who comment.
