Title or Subject: Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) 24-0049 October 2024 Rate Updates.

Effective Date: October 1, 2024.

Description: The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit SPA 24-0049 to update the fee schedule (rate) effective dates for several medicaid programs and services. This is a regular, budget-neutral update to keep rates and billing codes in alignment with the coding and coverage changes from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the state, and other sources, including legislative action. These changes are routine and do not reflect significant changes to policy or payment.

SPA 24-0049 is expected to have no effect on the annual aggregate expenditures/payments. These changes are routine and do not reflect significant changes to policy or payment.

HCA is in the process of developing the SPA. HCA would appreciate any input or concerns regarding this SPA. To request a copy of the SPA when it becomes available or submit comments, you may contact the person named below (please note that all comments are subject to public review and disclosure, as are the names of those who comment). Please submit comments by October 25, 2024.
