NOTICE
Medicaid Transformation Project (MTP) Personal Care and Homemaker Services Rate Methodology under Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) program.
Effective Date: February 1, 2025.
The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit a rate methodology for personal care and homemaker services under MTP 2.0 - Section 1115 waiver. These services provide short-term care, including meals and ongoing monitoring of the individual's ongoing medical or behavioral condition, and may include limited or short-term assistance with instrumental activities of daily living and/or activities of daily living, for individuals who do not qualify for home and community based services to continue their community stabilization.
Personal care and homemaker services is expected to increase the annual aggregate expenditures for providers by approximately $52 million under MTP 2.0. Providers will be able to access medicaid waiver funds to provide Personal care and homemaker services.
The Personal care and homemaker services fee schedule is available for review at https://www.hca.wa.gov/assets/program/mtp-personal-care-homemaker-services-fee-schedule.pdf. HCA welcomes interested parties to submit comments and concerns about the rate methodology and/or the effects no later than Friday, December 27, 2024. Note: All comments are subject to public review and disclosure, as are the names of those who comment.
