Medicaid transformation project (MTP) home accessibility, remediation, and adaptation services rate methodology under health-related social needs (HRSN) program.

Effective Date: February 1, 2025.

The health care authority (HCA) intends to submit a rate methodology for home accessibility, remediation, and adaptation services under MTP 2.0 - Section 1115 waiver. These services aim to provide physical changes to a home that are necessary to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the individual or enable the individual to function with greater independence in the home.

Home accessibility, remediation, and adaptation services are expected to increase the annual aggregate expenditures for providers by approximately 44 million dollars under MTP 2.0. Providers will be able to access medicaid waiver funds to provide home accessibility, remediation, and adaptation services.

The home accessibility, remediation, and adaptation services fee schedule is available for review at https://www.hca.wa.gov/assets/program/Home-accessibility-remediation-and-adaptation-fee-schedule.pdf. HCA welcomes interested parties to submit comments and concerns about the rate methodology and/or the effects no later than Friday, December 27. Note: All comments are subject to public review and disclosure, as are the names of those who comment.
