Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 51-11C WAC, Adoption and amendment of the 2024 Washington State Energy Code, Commercial provisions.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 19.27A.025.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The building code council is considering changes to the energy code to address new language included in chapter 19.27A RCW after the passage of Initiative 2066.

Process for Developing New Rule: Technical advisory group review.
